Visiting loved ones at our hospital

Patients may have an unlimited number of visitors per day, with no more than two visitors at a time. Additional unit-based exceptions or restrictions may apply. For the health and safety of our patients and staff, physicians and staff reserve the right to limit visitors for some patients.

Here are our guidelines to help your visit go as smoothly as possible.

Visiting hours at our hospital

Our visiting hours are every day from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm. Children of any age are permitted but must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Visitation restrictions

Circumstances may allow for specific exceptions to any visitation restrictions described on this webpage. Those circumstances include religious visitation as well as a designated support person for a patient with a disability to provide assistance with communication or other necessary components of the patient's treatment. All persons entering under an exception remain subject to appropriate infection control protocols.

Waiting area amenities for family and friends

While your loved one is in surgery, our comfortable waiting rooms (located on the main floor and in the Spine and Total Joint Center) offer a relaxing area to await updates. We offer televisions, complimentary coffee and internet access.

Additionally, our patient tracking system will enable you to follow your loved one through his or her procedure. We also offer hospitality pagers, similar to what you might find in a restaurant, to let family and friends know that the surgeon has completed the procedure.

Free Wi-Fi

For your convenience, we offer your family, patients and guests, free, high-speed wireless internet access throughout the hospital. Simply look for the guest access network on your wireless-enabled device to sign on.

Cafe and coffee

We offer fresh-brewed coffee at our hospital's café and through Starbucks Coffee. Here are their store hours.

We also offer vending machines, located on the Garden Level near the café and on the second floor of the Women’s Hospital Atrium.

Transportation services

Bus service

Bus service is available to our campus. RTD provides a route that stops directly at our facility: the 403 route from north and west.

The 403 route stops at the Lincoln Light Rail Station, located a mile north of our campus. Additional information and trip planning are available at the RTD Website. or by calling (303) 299-6000.

Shuttle service

Shuttle Service is available within Lone Tree with RTD's Call-N-Ride service. Additional information is available by calling (720) 560-8857 or by visiting the RTD Website.

Our main number is (720) 225-1000. Please give the operator the patient's name to be connected.

Patient updates

If you or your loved one comes to us for surgery or emergency care, you may want to follow their progress, especially if you leave our campus. Please leave your cell phone number with us and you can receive updates by phone or text.

Mail received after a patient has been discharged will be forwarded to his or her home address.

Please Note: due to allergic reactions and sensitivities, latex balloons are not permitted at our hospital and we are not able to accept flowers in our intensive care unit (ICU).

In-person visits

Here are our guidelines to help you prepare for your visit with your loved one.

Everyone is required to wear a mask to protect patients, visitors, staff and providers.

Wear your mask up to the top of your nose and under your chin — snug and without gaps.

By entering this building, you are attesting that the answer is “NO” to these questions:

Do you have symptoms of COVID-19, which include: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea?
Within the past 14 days, have you been in close physical contact (six feet or closer for at least 15 minutes) with a person who is known to have COVID-19 or with anyone who has the symptoms listed above?
Are you currently waiting on the results of a COVID-19 test or have you been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 10 days?

All patients seeking care for an emergency medical condition, regardless of their vaccination status or ability to wear a mask, will be admitted to the emergency department. We will provide non-mask alternative accommodations.
